This match saw the debut of 18-year-old wicket-keeper batsman Aryansh Sharma in T20 International from UAE and he played a brilliant inning of 60 runs in 43 balls in his very first match. Aryansh has now become the first player to play a half-century in T20 International as a wicketkeeper in a debut match.

Talking about the first T20 match of the series, the New Zealand team, batting first, scored 155 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs with the help of Tim Seifert’s 55 runs. In response, the UAE team was reduced to 136 runs in 19.4 overs. Kiwi captain Tim Southee took 5 wickets showing amazing with the ball. Apart from this, Mitchell Santner and Jimmy Neesham also took 2-2 wickets. Now the second T20 match of the series between the two teams will be played on 19 August.
